Richard Pybus (Coach)

He took up coaching while in his mid twenties    Coached Pakistan ahead of its 1999 World Cup campaign and then a second time until after the 2003 World Cup  Was named coach of Bangladesh in May 2012 Coached Bangladesh in its tour of Europe in August 2012, where it made a clean sweep of Ireland, but lost to both Scotland and Netherlands

Captained Bangladesh at the ICC U19 CWC 2006 Youngest player top appear in a Test match at Lord’s, aged just 16 Scored his maiden Test hundred against India in 2010 the hundred came in just one session between lunch and tea. Is the second youngest wicketkeeper to captain an ODI side after Tatenda Taibu

Achieved the best figures by a Bangladeshi on Test debut, with an eight-wicket haul, including a five wicket haul in the second innings against West Indies in 2009.

Shakib Al Hasan

Has aggregated most runs (3635) and second most wickets (160) for Bangladesh in ODIs Is one of the three Bangladeshi players with 1000 runs and 100 wickets in ODIs. Mohammad Ashraful

Became the youngest Test centurion when he made 114 against Sri Lanka aged 17 years 63 days Scored 100 off 101 balls to help Bangladesh register its first ODI win over Australia at Cardiff in 2005. Led Bangladesh to its first cricket gold medal at the Asian Games in 2010 Scored the fastest fifty in Test cricket in terms of times - in 27 minutes against India at Mirpur in 2007 Has appeared in most ODIs for Bangladesh - 169 Is Bangladesh’s second highest run-scorer in all three formats - Tests, ODIs and T20Is.


Abul Hassan

Right arm medium-fast bowler and useful lower order batsman Took 5 for 50 in a one-dayer against Pakistan Under-19 in November 2009 and another five-for against Zimbabwe Under-19. He made his first-class debut for Sylhet Division in 2008-09.  His favourite cricketer is Brett Lee. Was part of Bangladesh team that played in ICC U19 CWC 2010.


Nasir Hossain

Tamim Iqbal

Is Bangladesh’s most successful batsman in T20Is, with 419 runs (avg 20.95) Scored 53 and 84 on his Test debut, against New Zealand at Dunedin in 2008 Scored 154 against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo in 2009- the highest ODI score for Bangladesh Third youngest after Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Ashraful to aggregate 1000 Test runs His brother, Nafees Iqbal, appeared in 11 Tests and 16 ODIs for Bangladesh, while uncle Akram Khan played 8 Tests and 44 ODIs

Shafiul Islam

His first two scoring shots in Test cricket were sixes, off Amit Mishra in two innings at Chittagong in 2010- he was the first to accomplish this feat Scored 24 not out in ninth wicket partnership of 58 with Mahmudullah that gave Bangladesh an unlikely win over England in ICC CWC 2011. Took 4 for 59 in an ODI against Ireland at Belfast in 2010


Mashrafe Mortaza

Was the first Bangladeshi to make his first-class debut in a Test match Played a crucial part in Bangladesh’s famous victory over Australia at Cardiff in 2005 by dismissing Adam Gilchrist for a duck His 6 for 26 against Kenya at Nairobi in 2006 remain Bangladesh’s best bowling figures in ODIs His 4 for 38 against India in ICC CWC 2007 set up the famous defeat for India Only Mike Hendrick of England has taken more Test wickets (87) than Mortaza’s 78 without ever taking a five-for.

Abdur Razzak

Took a ODI hat-trick against Zimbabwe at Mirpur in December 2010 - second for Bangladesh after one by Shahadat Hossain Is the fastest Bangladesh bowler to take 100 ODI wickets, reaching the milestone in just 69 matches. Has taken most ODI wickets (185) for Bangladesh Took three consecutive four-wicket ODI hauls against Zimbabwe in December 2010 Was the only Bangladeshi signed up for the first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008


Junaid Siddique

Scored 74 on his Test debut against New Zealand at Dunedin in January 2008, putting on 161 for the first wicket with Tamim Iqbal who was also making his Test debut.  Scored 71 off 49 balls on his T20I debut against Pakistan at Cape Town in 2007 – highest score by a Bangladesdhi batsman in debut innings in T20Is


Elias Sunny

Batting/Bowling style: TBC  
Made his Test debut after picking up 203 wickets in seven years of first-class cricket – the most for a Bangladesh bowler before a Test debut. Took 6 for 94 in first innings of his debut Test against West Indies in 2011- second best figures by a Bangladeshi on Test debut Became the first player to be named Man of the Match on debut in two formats, after winning the award in the first Twenty20 against Ireland in July 2012. He also won the award in his first Test, against West Indies in 2011. Took 5 for 13 against Ireland on T20I debut, including a double-wicket maiden - the third best figures in T20Is Is the third bowler to take five or more wickets on debut in two different formats. Former Australia fast bowler Tony Dodemaide and West Indies fast bowler Fidel Edwards had done so in Tests and ODIs.
